What’s new in Siteward

v0.12 · August 2026

• New Check for updates. Sites normally answer from a cached check that can be twelve hours old, so a premium plugin whose licence you just renewed keeps reporting no update until that cache expires. The button on the Updates screen makes every site ask its licence servers again and tells you what turned up. Needs Siteward Child 0.7.5 on the managed site.
• Fixed Syncing one site now re-reads what is installed on it, not just its status. Updating a plugin and pressing Sync used to leave the vulnerability list quoting the version that had just been replaced.
• Fixed Scheduled software checks were never running. A timezone conversion made every check look brand new to any dashboard east of UTC, so vulnerability matching worked from a snapshot that only a manual refresh updated. A patched plugin could keep showing as vulnerable, and a newly installed vulnerable one could go unnoticed.
• New Update timeout setting. A site carrying a lot of plugins can take longer than the fixed three minutes allowed before, and would report “timeout reached” for updates that had actually applied.
• New Vulnerability feed interval, with the last fetch and next check shown beside it, so you can see how current the data is rather than guess.
• New Vulnerability alert emails with their own toggle, and “Known vulnerability” as a status filter on the Sites overview.
• Improved The Updates search now searches whatever the current tab lists: the plugin on “By plugin / theme”, the site on the others.

Siteward Pro 0.10 · August 2026

• New Auto-patch vulnerable plugins and themes. Off by default. Set a severity threshold so criticals close on their own while everything else waits for you. It only patches when the update already waiting reaches the version that actually fixes the vulnerability, never touches WordPress core, skips sites carrying a tag you exclude, and emails you what it changed. There is a dry run.
• New Grouped vulnerability alerts. One disclosed plugin across thirty sites is one alert naming them all, not thirty.
• New Client reports as an optional add-on, included with Pro at no extra cost and installed only if you want it.

Client Reports 1.0 · August 2026

• New White-label client reports (Pro), a branded monthly report of every update applied, uptime, security status and environment, sent as HTML email. Your agency name, logo, colours and words; Siteward is not named anywhere in it.
• New Google Analytics traffic (optional), through a service account in your own Google Cloud project, so there is no consent screen to maintain and nothing that expires. Visitors, sessions, page views, top pages and sources, with movement against the month before or the same month last year.
• New Opt-in per site. Nothing is recorded for a site until you choose it, and unticking a site deletes what was kept for it.
• Improved Installed as a separate download from Pro settings, at no extra cost, so a dashboard that never sends a report never carries the code that would.

v0.10 · August 2026

• New Vulnerability monitoring (free), every installed plugin, theme and WordPress version across the fleet is checked against a feed of nearly 39,000 known vulnerabilities. Findings are grouped by plugin (what to fix, and every site it is on) or by site, each with severity, CVE and the exact version that clears it. No API key, no account, no per-site fee.
• New Known-vulnerability flag on the Sites overview and on each site’s own page, so an exposed site stands out without opening the new screen.
• Improved Nothing about your sites leaves your server. Your dashboard downloads the same public feed everyone else does and does the matching locally, so no third party is ever told what you have installed or where.
• Improved “Update to” names one version, not one per advisory. Where a plugin carries a dozen advisories, Siteward works out the single release that clears all of them.
• New Siteward Child 0.7.4 reports installed themes, so theme vulnerabilities are matched as well as plugin ones. Sites still on an older child keep working and are matched on plugins only.

v0.9 · July 2026

• New Site tags & segmentation (free), label sites by client, server or anything you like, filter the overview by tag (Is / Is Not), and scope bulk sync and update actions to the filtered sites, so you can update everything except the sites you tag “do not touch.”
• New Dynamic tags (Pro), tags that assign themselves by rule, server IP, WordPress version, connection state and more, and re-evaluate on every sync.
• New Dynamic Notification Engine (Pro), when several sites that share a server go down together, Siteward sends one “server down” alert (and one recovery alert) listing every affected site, instead of a separate alert for each one. Ends the inbox flood when a whole server drops.
• New Siteward is now on WordPress.org, install the free dashboard straight from your WordPress admin (Plugins, Add New, search “Siteward”).
• Improved Premium plugin updates, licensed plugins like Perfmatters and ACF Pro are now detected and updated across your whole fleet, not just sites you had recently opened.
• Improved Fleet Plugins (Pro), a redesigned sites sidebar to pick exactly which sites to target, plus a per-plugin dropdown that lists every site a plugin is on, each with a one-click login for licence-key updates.
• Improved Faster bulk actions, updates and syncs now run as many sites in parallel as your Concurrent requests setting allows.
• Improved Sync all now retries any site that briefly dropped offline, so a stale connection self-heals on the next sync.
• Improved Clearer, larger search icon on the sites overview.

v0.8 · July 2026

• New Fleet plugin management (Pro), activate, deactivate, uninstall or install plugins across selected sites at once from an uploaded ZIP (including premium plugins), with filters and live progress.
• New Guided Zapier setup (Pro), a “Send test” button pushes a sample alert to your webhook so you can build your Zap from real received data.
• Improved Resync all sites in one click from Settings, plus a faster, cached Fleet Plugins view that refreshes only the sites you change.

v0.7 · June 2026

• New Backup & WP-Cron health monitoring and alerts are now included free, no / stale / failing backups, failing cron, recovery mode, auto-paused plugins and Site Health issues are all watched on the free dashboard.
• New One-click login to any managed site’s WordPress admin, no stored passwords, opens in a new tab.
• New Site Health detail: see each critical issue by name on the dashboard, plus a one-click jump straight into the site’s own Site Health screen.
• New Sync all, refresh your whole fleet at once with a live progress modal.
• New Bad licence(s) flag, sites with premium plugins that can’t auto-update (missing/expired licence) are tagged, so failed updates don’t look like bugs.
• Fixed Connection reliability, sites no longer get stuck “not connected” after a momentary timeout; they automatically retry and self-heal.
• Fixed Accurate “last sync” and relative times across the dashboard (timezone handling).

• New Free + Pro editions: a free dashboard for unlimited monitoring, including backup & cron health, with a Pro upgrade adding SSL & domain-expiry monitoring and Zapier.
• New Licence activation and self-hosted Pro updates delivered straight to your dashboard.
• New Critical-error detection, catches fatal errors, the WordPress “critical error” white screen, recovery mode and auto-paused plugins, and names the culprit.
